Summer 2006 Workshop Articles

These fourteen students from Minnesota high schools spent two weeks of June 2006 at the ThreeSixty summer workshop at the University of St. Thomas. The result: four pages of stories published in the Star Tribune and Pioneer Press.

Pioneer Press stories include “The ‘perfect tan’ can be deadly,” “Summer learning a choice for some,” “Cultural barriers,” “Young athletes under pressure,” “Freedom of ownership,” “Black students are missing the mark,” and “More state schools offering Mandarin Chinese.”

Star Tribune stories include “Local hip-hop label draws loyal fans,” “Immigrants’ summer study,” “High school: At age 21, you’re out the door,” “Interracial relationships increase in state,” “Teaching minorities to swim is a YMCA mission,” “Thousands of teens live with diabetes,” and “Global shopping—locally.”
