12 Weeks to Fitness: A setback wrapped in bacon, cheese and more

I had one of the greasiest, fattening things I have ever eaten. It was a brat wrapped in bacon, surrounded by a hamburger with cheese. I probably wiped out my whole diet with a week’s worth calories.

Overall, I have more energy, and I’m happier and healthier emotionally, mentally and physically than when I started the program. A proud success is that I have totally changed my eating habits. Most importantly, the program helped me start what I’ve wanted to do for a long time.

I don’t understand why people think that just counting calories and not exercising will help them lose weight. Do these same people think that two trips to McDonald’s are healthy as long as they stay under their calorie limit?

Why I love The Hunger Games book series


I’m pretty shy myself, and when I read about this heroine who can stand up for herself, despite things that are preventing her, I feel influenced to do the same. I’m energized to help anyone out, make the world greener and give back to the community.

12 Weeks to Fitness: Increasing my energy by sleeping


Now that I’ve kicked the caffeine out of my diet, sleeping better will help to give me more energy and stay more alert in class. I have made it a goal to get more than 7 hours of sleep each night. Here are some tips from a sleep presentation offered by the Wellness Center at the University of St Thomas I attended that I want to pass along.
